HELLO
The recent few months have been quite hectic, stressful, but at the same time very enjoyable and fulfilling.
Let's start from driving. I finally learnt vertical parking. ohmyygodd. It's too difficult. And the lessons are really hard to book I can't even?? It's like I will take forever to get my license. And my provisional license is expiring soon I need to get to BBDC to like update it = waiting for 1 hour doing nothing at the second floor.
Now let's move on to dance. So this year, Tania and I are participating in three competitions.
Get the Beat was on June 10th. Annnd it was half exciting and half awkward. The number of competitors in each category was really.... lacking HAHA. Even though it felt awkward getting 1st place for OMG, I personally felt that we did really well and we deserved a placing because it was evident that the audience enjoyed it. Even though I was like 90% close to puking during the dance because I was too excited/nervous, I felt that we really showed stage presence. I myself could feel us showing great expressions. Breath was full of mistakes and disappointing. Something that I didn't really expect because I thought we were well prepared? But maybe we were not that well prepared in the end. I failed at the 'Rising from the Dead' move and I still feel quite sore about it till now even though it has been a month... I practised hard for it and it is my strength. Maybe I was too complacent. Well, setbacks are alright. Because we learn from them. We got 4th in the end. Half awkward and half shocking because we were not the last place hehe :P
This coming Sunday is the Crestar School of Dance internal dance competition, which I consider, personally, extremely small-scale. Despite the scale of the competition in my humble perspective, I still want very bad to win medals in this competition because it shows where our standard is compared to others. I'm pretty confident about the performance ability of my dance class even though the technique levels across the class is pretty uneven. But Ms Lang Ley has really great and creative choreographies that we all ought to learn from. Especially me because lack of creativity is one of my biggest weaknesses. Tania and I are performing the shorter version of OMG, and I don't know what to expect, because 2 minutes is really very short for a duo performance. It's like I need to make an impact in 2 minutes but i'm gonna end this before the climax even reaches? Yes, but we will do our best no matter what happens anyway. So let's all hope for the best as well :) We are probably gonna be pretty unique with our hiphop kpop fusion item as compared to the other items that are gonna appear in our category, probably contemp and modern stuff. We have been practicing quite hard everyday for SPY and I hope our efforts pay off. The bad news is, Kehui is down with HFMD and we had to change some parts of our choreography last minute. But I consider our ability to improvise not bad because some people have really creative ideas. I always believe that we must fight for what we want, yet at the same time I do believe in fate and destiny, so this time round I think it is fate that we are thrown this challenge 3 days before the competition and this allows us to display our teamwork. At the same time it is also a wake up call to the rest of us that no one is indispensable and that its time to pull up our socks because achievements don't come to us easily without hard work. That being said, it is quite saddening to know and see that not everyone has the same priorities as others. Humans are all naturally easily influenced by the people in our surroundings and we all understand that everyone changes, for the good or for the worst. Not everyone will have the same goals especially since we are all starting the tertiary education in our lives and not everyone can maintain that same passion. Its a great pity, but that's life. Of course, as this is a group effort, I do hope that everyone, including myself, can be more responsible for this whole thing.
Later in the month, Tania and I are flying over to Hong Kong for the challenge cup. Personally, I'm not expecting anything and I'm going there just for the experience (and a short holiday :P) I suddenly remembered I haven't bought the tickets omg. This would be my first time doing a lyrical contemporary solo. Shall post more on this when its over maybe?
Okay so on 27th to 30th June I went for Pharmacy's Freshmen Orientation Camp. It was really an eye-opener for me. Being in a sheltered environment for the past 6 years, I realised that I have really been nothing but a "Frog living under the well". The outside world is so different and I guess I will take the next few months to learn a lot, from my OG, OGLs and seniors. And the story of how I ended up agreeing to go for Bash. I was highly encouraged (so highly that it was more of urging haha) to do up to the stage to just randomly follow some dance movements the seniors played on the screen. And I must have been crazy on that day or 吃错药 or something, I really did everything, BUAY PAISEH. So there was this worm movement, which I have never really tried in my life. When it appeared on the screen, there was this imaginary voice in my head telling me to just do it. So I was the only one who did it... and so everyone knew me as the person who danced on the stage. Then besides Mendez, Carter (according to Cheryl) supported me in the voting yep so that's how I got nominated?? And I agreed because it was a chance to gain experience and perform in front of my cohort, on a relatively different stage from usual. And it would be my first time performing for peers because I have never joined any dance clubs in school. I think it would be enriching.
Andddd so the above are my current sources of stress, but I know after all this I would have withdrawal symptoms. All the effort that I put in over the past few months would be worth it. So let's just press on and we can all do this - dance mates, bashies, Tania.
Really missed out on my Korean variety shows during this period of time and I probably would be really out of it until I graduate probably haha sounds super no life omg...
Today was really funny during dance practise though hahah I think the few of us 在发明星梦. Trying to be like a kpop group, splitting parts and creating fan chant HAHAHAHA creating good memories la. Its super funny and ridiculous we even tried to create stage names?? HAHAHAHA
OK here goes please don't judge-
Wae-ee-rin (that's me) & Samantha - Lead vocalists
Chu-a (Tania HAHAHAHHAHAAHH) - lead dancer
Shin-ee (xinyi) - reaction
Jo-ee-seu (joyce) and Peu-li-sha (phylicia wts HAHA) - visual
heo-ee-yan (daphne) and hu-ee (kehui)- rap HAHAHAHH shit

shi-yang (xuyang) - LEADER
HAHAHHA BEST ROLE ALLOCATION RIGHT LOLOLOL
Alright enough of fun.
Looking forward to FOW but not the new group allocation???

Update~
Anyways, over this period of time, a lot of things happened and not just me but also all the people around me have grown and matured much.
The last post was like dated in March, when Mr LKY passed on. That's like around a year ago. Anddd after a year, I AM BACK. BACK to this dead dead blog that I used to share all my foolish thoughts on HAHA. Oh wells, everyone used to be young right.
Okay so update is: 'A' levels started on the 2nd of November 2015 and officially ended on 26th November 2015 for me, I dyed my hair red at STORM and then i subsequently dyed my hair brown using liese that I bought from Taipei. It's damn cheap in taiwan btw cause its Japanese goods. And then I had two driving lessons so far omg it was so so fun HAHAHAH but its really scary driving a car because of all the responsibilities that come with it. Its too early to say still anyway, I can barely control acceleration beyond 20 KMH.... The instructor was really pekcek that I was driving at such a slow speed. And there are many other firsts this year, I finally used my sewing machine and I made a few pouches as an experiment using fabric from my old pants. But my skills aren't really good enough yet haha nothing compared to Tania's mom okay. And YES, i plucked up all my meagre courage to sign up with 'O' School and completed a lyrical jazz course and a hiphop course. Now I'm regularly doing open classes with Ronnie, Terence, Ryan and Ahlee. I think O school rly boosted my confidence in front of strangers. Thats a good thing right haha. Before I knew it, 'A' levels results were released and I did well, which was really a surprise for me I totally cried on the spot. Most probably going to Pharmacy I guess... ANND before I know it i may become a temporary teacher for Magic Fiddler. It's going to be a very good experience for me.
On a side note, a lot have changed about the people around me. Many friends which I used to be close to start to drift away as everyone leaves one by one for NS, and start considering about their future. Which is quite sad I think. Everytime someone tries to start a conversation or get everyone out for an outing, barely a fifth of the whatsapp group replies. It's really quite qi1 liang2... This time I really tried to get everyone to go for an outing. Not everyone is able to make it, but I really tried my best. Because majority of the group is made up of guys, and most of us have drifted, I know that maybe after another month or so we may not see each other for the next few years or even forever. I really miss the times where we used to talk in the whatsapp group till late at night even though what we really had to do was study and when everyone was so happy with each other. I'm responsible for part of the drift between us I agree, but yea, the truth is, you can't keep everyone in your life. People come and people go. When we enter NS or university, we make new and possibly even longer-lasting friends. Its all natural and a part of us maturing. Its just very ke3 xi1 lor.
Today I went to Zoo and Rive Safari HAHA. Its been like almost 10 years since I last went to the Zoo and this is my virgin River Safari visit. I was particularly excited for River Safari because Dydy and Goofy worked there today.
Zoo was really good! There were a lot more animals that didn't exist in our zoo like 10 years ago. What I find weird is, the white tiger is supposed to be rarer, and is a result of a genetic defect in normal tigers that result in albino offspring, which is a bad thing, but there was only a white tiger enclosure (or maybe i only saw the white tiger one ) and not an enclosure for genetically normal tigers. LOL um the giraffes were cute though! Jubilee was cute hehehe. A pity we did not get to see the Lions. Some animals like the rhinos were difficult to see because it was a really hot day and all the animals prefer to hide in the shade, like the foxes, painted dogs as well as the big cats. The monkeys' red butts look really weird too HAHA . But River Safari really made up for it! Goofy has too high expectations maybe haha he keep telling me don't expect too much, but I thought it was really not bad. The first person I saw that I recognise was Edwin at the entrance haha. I have no recollection of the fishes we saw when we went in cause honestly in my mind I was wondering where dydy was. But yes the pandas. THE PANDAS AND THE RED PANDAS. OMG CUTEST THINGS ON EARTH. I honestly prefer the red pandas to the China pandas. They look like raccoons and I really like animals with this kind of style. Like you know raccoons, meerkats, otters and red pandas, those animals along the kyeopta line. At first we thought that Jiajia was not out because we only saw Kaikai gorging on bamboo leaves like a true man, but YAY jiajia was after that. She was really graceful compared to her male counterpart hehe and really cute. Reminds me of meimei!! The red pandas were just so adorable I have nothing to say about it. OH another point to note was that on my way to the panda place I saw justin and then outside the air con place that kept the pandas i met Weany, who didn't recognise me until I went really close to her. She's so funny omg!!
We tried the Panda Pau. It was not baddddd! I ate the chocolate custard one! And everything in the zoo and river safari is reasonably priced compared to resorts world. (Anything is reasonably priced after you've seen the prices at USS please.) After that we went to take the cruise ride and there was Goofy scanning tickets. The cruise ride was good, and we got to see the rhinos from the front which was really heartwarming because we only saw their butts in the zoo =.= Saw growie and jubilee again as well as some elephants and birds. And I mistook a man for an animal. All he did was to try to feed the elephants. My bad. The guide on the cruise looked like a more good-looking mix of korkor and kangpeng. Then the boat ride was not bad the amazon thing. Lye mun was there. I don't know her personally though. YES THIS WAS FUN! I was really scared when I saw the slope. I am thankful there were only small splashes HAHAHA. Wendy asked me to go to the squirrel monkey forest and I meant to reply her on snapchat with a shot of the reservoir saying okay but i accidentally added it to my story instead. But that aside we went into the enclosure and couldn't see a single one until the moment we were going to exit. The squirrel monkeys are so puny omggg but really really cute. Apparently our timing wasn't very good though goofy said in the morning there were so many. But its alright, we did see one cute one anyways!!
Anyways I do highly recommend going to the zoo and river safari in one day. Its really quite fulfilling and educational! Its like a breather from all the stuff in civilisation, but of course not the poop smell.
Today I saw a piece of poop from a manatee floating in front of me omg. I ALMOST FORGOT THE OTTERS OMG. THE CUTEST ANIMALS EVER. The giant otters were soooo active!! Going in and out of the water and playing with each other. (I highly suspected there was a giant otter double date)
Today was a really enriching day for me :D And now i feel really tired from walking all day. Most active day ever haha my phone is like praising me because I completed more than 18000 steps today :D:D
Shall update with the photos I took using my note 4 again next time, probably soon, because I want to blog as frequently as I can remember before I become too busy in Uni to blog.
SO TIRED. MEETING KEE tmr though!!:D
Good night dajias!! xoxo!

Recent happenings
There are some recent happenings, of which I feel that I should pen down (type) my thoughts.
23rd March 2015, 3.18AM
Our beloved forefather, Mr Lee Kuan Yew left the nation. He was 91 years old.
I've never seen him in real life, nor have I seen him actually implementing policies. I'm born in a generation, together with my fellow peers and even a significant proportion of my teachers, which has no experience of Mr LKY being Singapore's Prime Minister. Most of us were born when the current Marine Parade GRC Member of Parliament Goh Chok Tong was holding the position.
However, to our very surprise, most of us were deeply affected by it. Especially since his passing was not to be a surprise as he had been frail since quite some time ago. Everyone knew it was about time. But when it was really time, it just felt different. Totally different.
"Surprisingly I'm sadder than I thought too..." , my friend sent in our Whatsapp chat group.
Although we did not see the process of the implementation of various policies and laws by LKY, it is absolutely true that ALL OF US are enjoying the fruits of his and a few other forefathers' and nation builders' labour. We look around and we see a Garden City. One of his greening policies which made us very distinctive from other cement-based 1st World nations. We wake up everyday to find ourselves in the comfort of our own homes. His housing policy, that enabled Singaporeans to have a shelter, a place to call home. In such a safe and secure environment, it is no doubt citizens now are extremely sheltered. We feel blessed for that, very very blessed. LKY gave his entire life to building this nation. He built a strong foundation for Singapore's economy, therefore he contributed immensely to our prosperity.
I woke up on Monday morning to this piece of devastating news and how I wish it was a hoax. It is a blessing for him as he does not need to suffer from his illness no more yet I feel extremely grieved at the fact that such a great man, the nation's father/grandfather, had passed on. He is definitely not the only man who has contributed to this amazing nation that I really love and will never give up, but he has indeed contributed so much, despite his lack of magnanimity, to the nation that everyone is thankful for.
I listened to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's public address live broadcast on the radio on my way to school while I was still in my dad's car. Monday had become longer than before and my journey to school became even longer. I couldn't control myself but to shed tears while listening to the broadcast. I teared another 2 more times further in the day as well as 3 more times the next 2 days. I felt the loss. I also felt the nation's love and gratitude towards him. I've never understood the feeling of losing a family member since I was born since it didn't occur to me in my youth. But now I finally understood the pain. The nation together felt the pain. My heart especially hurt when I watched the live telecast of the proceedings from Sri Temasek to the Parliament House. We saw PM Lee Hsien Loong. My heart really ached...
This year is Singapore's 50th Birthday. I hoped that Mr LKY would be well enough to join us for Singapore's jubilee this year. However, some things are not meant to be controlled. Thank you Mr Lee Kuan Yew, for contributing your life's worth of efforts to upgrade the nation from a 3rd world to a 1st world country with justice, equality, peace, safety and opportunities. I, as a proud citizen of Singapore, will do my part to ensure your efforts do not go to vain and I hope that my country-mates do so too. Thank You very very much, Mr Lee.

YEA MAN
First classical item and we won hahahas
Its a pity that our vegetable iten didnt win though
We were super duper guilty to ms langley omg
The first was last year where NeonPink Team attained Silver 2nd Place for Freestyle Groups Open! Although this yesr I attained Gold with a different group of people, it is still worth a lot to me :)
I must admit though, it wasn't a fair win because we were probably the oldest group and only my two items had pointe out of the 7 in total.
It seems that we have the upperhand because of pointe. But I feel that we deserve that of coursee hehe. Well we put in more sweat and pain. And even blood for meeeee.
Tania Joyce Jingyan Amanda Xuyang Samantha Xinyi Daphne Phylicia and Ms Langley !! Even though we didnt win in the end, you guys encouraged and congratulated the sdgians . I feel sorry and grateful for thattttt TT. and we have been friends since 2006?!!! MUCH LOVES SIA SRSLY AWWW ♡♥♡♥♡♥
Really love you guys. Thats it next year we are going to do freestyle!!! And get CHAMPION HORHH
We must win every following year together♡
Just know that I love you guys so muchhh
And my mommyyy who came to support me and even gave me a bear bear!!♡
Went to watch with the OVIA KM14 Sports grp. Although the company was good, the movie was really........
It made me so restless lahhhh.... the movie basically had no plot at all
I admit its quite sad.
Budden horh, I didnt feel anything lahhh. :/
I mean ofc cancer is sad.
But the non existent plot was so bad, it made me emotionless to whatever that was happening in the movie.
Goodnight♥♡♥♡

From now on,
From now on, I am going to live for myself.
I've always been very conscious about how others view me. These 2 years, for fear that I will be judged and hated on, I tried my best to be nice and to follow others.
I realised that that is not who I am.
That is not what I am.
I am the most bitchy girl you can find.
I judge people till they die.
I am mean, blunt and critical.
And I am proud of it.
Keekee taught me that it is okay to be judged. Because no one is going to make decisions for you and no one can affect how you are.
So I am going to live for myself.
At least its better than being fake.
I enjoy criticizing others. Not for no reason of course.
If you offend me I will not hesitate to humiliate you.
It is not that I do not know how to protect myself from getting in trouble.
After all, how many, among those you know, can you actually trust.
You never know.
I'm living for myself.
And only trusting myself.
That is CHERYL for you.
Either you take it, or leave it.

Hike to the RAILWAYYYYYY
Today the year 4s, 5s and 6s went on a hike !! Its actually supposed to be sports day but nah playing games probably too mainstream so our school organise hike for us hahahaha
So we were supposed to report at Choa Chu Kang stadium and I was immensely happy to know that because I only stay opposite ahahahha and I didn't have to squeeze on the bus 307 that was then filled with all RV people aiyo eh until some people cannot get up the bus tsk.
I woke up at like 7.15 when the meeting time was 8. HAHA perks of living near the reporting venue :P
HAPPY HAPPY SIA
So we started there and we walked along Villa Verde to the longkang there and subsequently we went into that GREEN CORRIDOR. Really quite green la there was nothing but tall grass of course green lah.
We stopped many times in the middle haha and we were really quite slow that other classes wanted to overtake us because our dear mr widjaja was so intrigued by like everything around there ohmaya.
He suddenly bent down just to touch the mimosa I was like hahaha. But really he is super observant!!! Everyone was just walking and he could like spot everything ranging from spiders and spider webs to grasshoppers and monitor lizards. I didn't see the monitor lizard because it camouflaged too well.
And I must say mr widjaja is super knowledgeable!!
Throughout the entire journey, he first talked to me regarding dogs, then halfway through he started talking to soonhong about floorball, then he talked to westine about badminton, then he talked to me and Rachel about high heel shoes and somehow it led to him and ivan talking about anime. He knows everything lol I was pretty impressed. And he really did make a effort to get a better understanding of us :)
So we walked through more green corridor and guess what. Because the sun was on one side and it was heating up only the left half of our body, qinping ivan and nelson decided to share 2 umbrellas ._. seriously lol the girls didn't even complain about the heat. okay they only started to talk about it because they realised they had tan lines from their spectacles. HEHE perks of not having to wear specs :P JEALOUS?? haha no la jkjk
We stopped at ten mile junction haha and some people actually went to giant to shop for tidbits LOL then everyone came out with big bags small bags. wah serious grocery shopping man...
And mr widjaja said my army insect repellent is more potent that anything inside our chemistry lab hahaha. I know right I experienced it a lot please the repellent actually burnt my neck when I was in pulau ubin in sec 2 and it corroded my wallet after I touched it with my hand when I went to sugei buloh last year. Ok anyway many classes overtook us on the way because we were too slow and because we kept walking the wrong way. haha thanks mr widjaja.
The best part was when we reached the railway. omggg although it was still a green corridor I must say that the view and atmosphere was really great. The place totally jammed up because every class was taking selfies hahaha. single person selfie too mainstream liao so must class selfie 20+ people together one then fun.
shit im starting to talk like nelson ._.
And many people took selfies with mrs teo hahahahahahahha I was so intrigued!!!!HAHAHAHAH super funny lahhh. I met Jinglin somewhere on the railway track and we were like wrestling with each other there (gently) lol dangerous much.
and mr widjaja just went like "i'd rather walk barefoot than in high heels" and jinglin actually agreed with him hahahah Jinglin is so sociable
I think 5D should get the most hardworking class award lor cause many of the other classes took a bus from railmall to beauty world or to bukit timah plaza. but our class hiked all the way to beauty world and continued to bukit timah plaza. sibei yong gong pls hahaha
we then had our class lunch at a casual Italian restaurant I forgot its name woops. but the food was good and the atmosphere was good! Not to mention the entire restaurant was filled with RVians lah lol I bet the staff very pekcek.
I really enjoyed today a lot haha the school should organise more activities like that lahh!!! so fun :)
and 5D is such a great class many loves for 5D XOXO *muacks*
YEAYEAYEA
